About the Exhibition
Bob Culshaw solo exhibition
Bob Culshaw, retired and living in Kent, England, takes full advantage of his nearby surroundings and delivers panoramic images of historic interiors in astonishing detail and richness, using HDR.
High Dynamic Range (HDR) processing results in high impact realism, due to the wider range of intensity of light between lightest and darkest areas of a digital image.
One only has to see the scrumptiously colored and detailed Altar, St David's Cathedral, Pembrokeshire, Wales to appreciate the startling detail indicative of Bob Culshaw's work.
Shrine to Saint Thomas Becket, a six-frame panorama shot in Canterbury Cathedral, Kent, England, has dramatic gold hues and shadows that seem created by strong afternoon sun. Bob captures the place of Becket's murder in a perfectly composed image that invites the leap backwards in the Bob Culshaw time machine.
