About the Exhibition
Philip Gaida solo exhibition
Currently residing in northern Italy, French-born painter, Philip Gaida, traveled the world meeting artists, after studying in Paris' famed Ecole Superieure des Beaux Arts.
His paintings are focused on the brush stroke as an element, rather than simply a means to an end. The artist's expressive work reveals Gaida as a people-watcher and story teller.
Pianojazz is ebullient, vibrating and trembling with the trill of the keys. The playing fingers are elongated, but extremely powerful. A red reflection of possibly a stage curtain is captured in the piano and reflected back on the skin. Pianojazz is a masterpiece of motion and emotion.
For a little tongue in cheek humor, don't miss Talking about the soul, which pits two men against one another, arguing over the soul— one effectively playing "God", the other, pointedly not.
