About the Exhibition
Ray Jackson solo exhibition
Ray Jackson, British-born and residing in America, favors digital paintings of famous individuals, with a little horror genre thrown in. His love of horror may have inspired the artist's moniker, "razar".
Ray's collection includes a fine reference to Louis Armstrong. Other jazz greats, movie directors and actors, even comic book super heroes are portrayed as well.
A work entitled, THIS MUCH!, is probably the most compelling example of Ray's "digital freehand" style. It was inspired by the 1977 film, Jesus of Naszareth and portrays Jesus on the cross, with a crowd behind him.
